I have a new place and so I need to get internet set up. It is always the same when you get a new place, you have to get the utilities set up in your name, and sometimes you have to get renters insurance. The place I lived in before the place I just moved out, of I actually forgot to cancel my renter’s insurance and got charged for another year. That was embarrassing but I am reading about California Hughesnet satellite internet to see how it compares to other forms of broadband internet.
I have never had a broadband connect that was mediated through a satellite before and it sounds like it would be pretty cool. So if it is not that much more expensive then I think I want to get my internet connection from Hughesnet, because it would be a new experience. I wonder how reliable it is when compared to other forms of broadband.
I don’t know if it would be worse, but it seems like satellite connections could be interrupted from time to time. But at the same time, I have had plenty of problems in the past with other providers, and they did not even have the benefit of using the satellite connection as an excuse for the connectivity problems. So I am not even going to think about that in considering which company to choose for my new internet connection. I just want to look at the pricing and see if it is going to work for me. I am also curious to look at all of the different internet speeds that they have available under these plans, and figure out which one would be best for me. I want a fast connection, but I do not need one that is incredibly fast, because it would just be wasted money.
