Healing My Daughter’s Volleyball Injury

12 Jan

In retrospect we probably should’ve had a running account with a chiropractor in Campbell considering our daughter’s aggressive style of playing volleyball. She’s an in your face player and has had her share of various injuries over the years. She plays like every serve matters and she even plays when she’s hurt. My husband and I are both very proud of her, but we do have our worries. The most recent came when she face planted during a game and hurt her neck. The bloody lip paled in comparison to the fact that she couldn’t really move her head back and forth.

The doctor said it was just a bad neck sprain and was nothing to worry about, but I had my doubts. I’ve seen my girl weather injuries, but this one seemed different. Read the rest of this entry »

I Can Keep on Hiking

12 Jan

Living in Northern California means you can do a lot of outdoor activities. It also means injuries which is why I spent some time with a Sacramento chiropractor recently after suffering a knee injury during a recreational hike outside of town. I slipped on a rock and twisted my leg in such a way that I could feel a shooting pain in my knee. It hurt so badly I was barely able to get back to my car. Fortunately I always hike with a friend so they were able to help me get back to the vehicle and to the emergency room in town.

The doctors did an x-ray and said nothing was broken. They even poked and prodded and said tissue damage didn’t look like an issue. They sent me home with a prescription for painkillers and some advice about not hiking for awhile until the pain went away. What a diagnosis! I could’ve come up with that on my own. I did refrain from hitting the trails, but the pain never went away. It didn’t get worse, but it didn’t get better either. Read the rest of this entry »

I Met a Girl and Her Ex-boyfriend

11 Jan

I was in the area to visit the university for a seminar on my field of study, but of course I did not turn it down when this attractive young lady invited me to a party at her sorority. She was about four years younger than me and studying the same thing I was, I could tell that she wanted me to help her with a project she was working on. Unfortunately this came to involve a San Jose chiropractor in the end, because she had a rather jealous ex boyfriend. Fortunately for me he was not very good at fighting and he was pretty much drunk when he came at me. He was not falling down drunk, which would have been better for me obviously, but he was in the phase where you are poorly coordinated. The only reason I got hurt was that I did not see him until he was right on top of me and there was not the part where he was supposed to warn me that he was going to kick my butt. Watching out for the Accidents

11 Jan

My grandfather has me worried sometimes because of how often he has accidents. He’s been accident prone for most of his life, but it seems to have gotten worse as he’s become older. He even had to see a chiropractor in Mesa recently because of a bad fall he had while walking his dog at the park. He’s never fallen in the park before, but I guess there is a first time for everything. As he was on the ground from the fall, his dog was barking loudly so someone would come over and help him. I was at work when all of this happened. Read the rest of this entry »

Affordable Major Appliance Repair in Sacramento

11 Jan

Have you ever had one of those days when nothing goes right? Well, I’m having one of those today. It all started this morning when I was washing a load of clothes. My washer started leaking water all over the place. This was a major catastrophe for me and my family. I’m washing clothes for seven people in our house and trying to pack for our family vacation on a seven day Disney Cruise. I desperately needed someone who does major appliance repair in Sacramento. I started searching the yellow pages for a repairman that could come out to my house now. After numerous telephone calls, I found one that made emergency service calls.

I was kind of freaking out wondering if they would be able to fix my washer. Read the rest of this entry »

Bad Luck with the Finances

11 Jan

It’s funny how one little bit of bad luck can send anyone from cloud nine back to the ground. I had my own pizza restaurant in my neighborhood and it was doing pretty well. I was getting a lot of customers on a daily basis, and getting a nice profit. Then the economy changed and I started getting less customers and couldn’t afford to maintain the business anymore. I even had to call a Sacramento bankruptcy attorney to file for bankruptcy. It felt like all of my dreams had come to an end after they had just come true.

Although my moment of turmoil had come, the attorney made things easier for me by helping me deal with the debt that I had accrued due to the my financial downfall due to the turn of the economy. I wasn’t the only person in this situation, as many business owners had faced the same situation. Read the rest of this entry »

Helping Whiplash and Arthritis at the Same Time

11 Jan

My mom was in a car accident not that long ago. She was stopped at an on ramp to the interstate because there was a long stream of traffic coming. The car approaching behind her was watching the traffic instead of in front of him, and he rear ended my mom’s car. She was wearing a seat belt, but she was still jostled around a good bit because of the hard impact. She refused medical treatment because she was sore but not seriously injured, but I wanted her to see a chiropractor in Philadelphia PA just to make sure that everything was okay.

She told me that it made sense for her neck to hurt because her head slammed back into the headrest pretty hard. She was not sure if she was experiencing whiplash or just typical soreness, and she finally agreed to go see a chiropractor to appease me. It turned out that it was a good thing that she did go because her pain increasingly got worse over the next few days. Read the rest of this entry »
